Edmonton Chimos Prep Camp A Success

On August 20 - 22, the Edmonton Chimos hosted it's Prospect/Prep Camp in Leduc, Alberta. Over 60 Elite female athletes attended the tournament style camp. Players came from many different levels including WWHL, NCAA, CIS, ACAC, and Midget AAA. Every one of the four teams won at least 1 game and Team Black (Captained by Laura Dostaler and coached by Chip Sawchuk) ran the table and won the tournament. From this Camp many new players were identified to be a Chimos prospect for the Main Camp (Sept 18 - 26, 2010) and many underage players were given exposure to the Chimos Program for the future. Prep Camp Still Looking for Players

The Edmonton Chimos Prep Camp from August 20 - 22, 2010 in Leduc, Alberta is still looking for more forwards and defense for the camp. We have 6 Forward and 5 Defense spots open for the Camp.
The Camp will have an information (Meet and Greet) session on Friday evening. The on ice will consist of 1 practice and 4 games per team (4 teams total) set up in a tournament style format. The Gold and Bronze medal games will be held on Sunday, August 22.
The Western Women's Hockey league is expanding to Manitoba this year and this will be a very exciting year for the Chimos. Come be a part of most storied Women's Senior AAA hockey franchise in the world.
